My mid-back pain started over 15 years ago. In the last few years, in particular, I was beginning to give up hope that it would ever be resolved. Since 1998, I have been to at least 25 different doctors, including a Sports Medicine Specialist, internal medicine, family practice, and even a Neurologist. I've also seen numerous chiropractors, physical therapists, the emergency room (on several really bad occasions) and multiple urgent care centers. I've had MRI's, a bone scan, X-rays and other assorted tests. All the doctors could ever tell me was that I had a "musculoskeletal problem" - like that somehow made the excruciating back spasms and pain any less of a problem. I had gotten to a point where I was scared to travel in the car or by plane for long periods and was hypersensitive to almost every activity that didn't involve sitting motionless.
I have been getting massages from Annie for about 4 months now. Prior to seeing her, I have had constant shoulder pain for the last 2 years. I have tried Chiropractic, other massage therapists, physical therapy, medication, all to no permanent relief. After three massages, which were very therapeutic and deep tissue, Annie was able to relieve the constant pain. Her knowledge and expert technique, along with educating me to various stretches and exercises, have given me the ability to keep working and enjoying life. I am so grateful that I found her.
Absolute Wholeness Massage & Wellness is a friendly and professional business located in the heart of downtown Placerville. Annie's massages are heaven! She asks questions and listens before the massage to understand where I need work. She uses great pressure and adjusts when I notice an area is more sensitive. She fills the allotted time on my individual needs and not a cookie cutter one size fits all approach. She gives helpful advice for at-home treatment for aches and pains. Leaving the session I feel happy, relaxed and not greasy.
For over a year, I've had the pleasure to call Absolute Wholeness the place where I get a massage. When Lana greets me at the door, I feel like it's a second home. Leela, the owner, gives me a hug and it's so welcoming. I'm offered water and friendly conversation until Sandy, my massage therapist, pops her head out and says, " come on in.†I say, "Sandy, take me away". This is by far the happiest place to be in El Dorado County and I leave feeling like a million dollars.
I've been a dental hygienist for 8 years and frequently experience back and neck pain due to my work . I've been getting deep tissue and Swedish massages at Absolute Wholeness for the last several years. They truly care about your health and well being, focusing on making your visit as relaxing as possible. I highly recommend Absolute Wholeness for massage therapy to everyone.
"Absolute Wholeness was a place of healing for me after an accident. The staff and the space create a shared goal- that we all are on a path of wellness. I previously viewed massage as a luxury while on vacation. I now understand that it is a tool to create a more physically and mentally balanced life. In addition to a healing touch, I was also introduced to essential oils, detoxifying foot baths and SCIO treatments over the last couple of years. I am in deep gratitude to the staff at Absolute Wholeness for helping me to heal and for continued guidance on wellness."
